A fresh breeze is blowing again in Weert

The popularity of the Bosuil resulted in more and more visitors, which meant that the old climate control system had to be replaced.

The management of de Bosuil, inspired by our previous installation at 013 in Tilburg, asked us for a comparable system. Together with installation company Kuijpers, we have designed and implemented an efficient ventilation and air distribution system.

Thanks to innovative air distribution plena with angle-adjustable jets and careful commissioning, the stage, hall and platform now have effective ventilation, so that the Bosuil offers a perfectly ventilated environment for employees, artists and audiences.

Leaner products through lean manufacturing

Smitsair has lasted for over a century because we are always looking for innovations that improve our production processes and services. We recently teamed up with Blom Consultancy to implement ‘Lean Manufacturing’ in our production lines. The aim is to serve our customers even better by realising sustainable improvements by minimising losses.
This way, we optimise our production process, which benefits our relations.

An important part of this whole process is enthusing and training our employees. The first study days have been successfully completed and certificates have been handed out. Congratulations!

Air distribution for DHL distribution centre

Parcel delivery company DHL is building a distribution and sorting centre of over 20,000 square metres in Zwolle. This will create around 100 new jobs for the region.

To make sure it is pleasant to work there, Smitsair-JETsystemen provides a pleasant indoor climate. This is a challenge for such a large area, so our engineers designed five air distribution plena type SW8, measuring 2.6×2.6×0.6 metres, each with a supply capacity of 28,000 m3/h.

After installation, the plena blow in conditioned air at a height of about 11 metres with an air throw of about 30 metres all around. This shows once again that Smitsair provides high-level air technology solutions on a daily basis.

Every industry benefits from a stable indoor climate

Warehouses accommodate numerous industries.
Sometimes it is a distribution centre for chain stores, other times it stores medicines or serves as a data centre.
What they all have in common is the need for a stable indoor climate.

Smitsair-JETsystemen contributes to this with the engineering, production and commissioning of, for example, blow-in ornaments, type SPR and SPV. These efficiently blow in large volumes of conditioned air with a homogeneous room purge and are mounted directly on round or rectangular air ducts.
They can be fitted with powder coating, an integrated control damper and/or internal thermal insulation.

To achieve the ideal indoor climate, Smitsair-JET Systems can use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), among other methods.
This digital simulation technology shows how flows, heat transfers and other HVAC-related elements behave in a given indoor space.
This enables our customers to engineer an indoor climate plan with the most optimal air distribution.
